Review with Occupational Therapist conclusion.

Well, my assessment seemed to all go swimmingly, she was very nice and was very good at her job offering so much support, although I never slept a wink last night due to anxiety and bricking it. However, Not only does she feel because of my peripheral nuropathy is at such a degree that benefits will have to be now placed at the higher rate which she says will automatically qualify me for a blue badge, she has also offered to have the council build me ramps front and back and to maintain the footpaths for trip hazards, providing a bath board, a bed rail to get in and out of bed with and another walking stick for the car. apparently, I'm also entitled to free physiotherapy for walking, insoles for my trainers and are having grip handrails also fitted where needed, plus she is also allocating me a falls monitor because I am so vulnerable here on my own. so all in all I am pleased and hope the outcome brings all this into play. it will be bloody amazing if she can do all of this for me as it will make such a difference to my lifestyle. Apparently, she knew me when I caring for my mum, she was mums, occupational helper, also. Happy days x ps....thank you for your advice and encouragement x

That’s good news DeepBlue, hopefully it won’t be too long before you start to benefit from the aids you have been offered. 🙂👍
