Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Well, I had it has now been confirmed today, my feet and toes have no sensation to the diabetic prick test at all. She said I have full Diabetic Neuropathy. The nurse confirmed I have a good colour and pulse in each foot but she was concerned about my nails even though they were trimmed and sanded that if I could not feel a thing in my feet then cutting my nails was dangerous so she has now referred me to a diabetic nail clinic. She also checked my weight and pulse heart rate stats which I have kept a record of from the last month's readings taking a reading every other day on my home machine so a clear record was given. everything seemed fine and on schedule to her so just my bloods to come back now to check my sugars. I just hope I don't lose the ability to walk safely on my own or aided. She did talk to me about my driving ability but if I give my driving licence up then I am basically cutting and isolating my entire life off totally, I am not prepared to sit in a disabled mobility scooter just yet.

I kind of knew it has happened but did fear admitting it. it just means a lot of adjustments have to happen as it will never get any better from here on. I've said it a few times but thank you for all your kindness and support as it gratefully appreciated. your very kind x👍
