This is written by someone who has never been in a relationship before. So how do I know? This is simply what I’ve learned from observing the tv and movies I like, or the articles I read. Or the people I know. Yes fiction is fiction. But often I find it has very relatable lessons to our real world. It often helps us see our relationships in a new and better way.
1. You can laugh together
2. You are each other’s confidants. You can talk about anything, and you give each other comfort
3. You love to experience new adventures together. The outdoors, concerts, restaurants
4. You forgive each other. Either from your sexual history, or disagreements in the relationship
5. You have a healthy sex life
6. If you hear gossip from someone about your partner, you don’t accuse. Instead, you communicate with him or her instead of jumping to conclusions
7. You respect and trust, rather than control, your partner
8. If you fight, it’s ok! deep breath. You can work it out and it doesn’t necessarily mean the end. All relationships have their flaws. Don’t give up because your partner is moody. Be patient. They’ll come around.
9. You don’t let your different views get in the way of the relationship. Instead, you see what you have in common
10. You’re happy for your partner when he or she accomplishes a goal
