Perhaps Claire Weekes' "Hope and Help for your Nerves" would be a book that may help you, Spooky99.

It is helping me in so many positive ways. There is a post on here that I found helpful, I will try to post a link, now.

Thank you!!!! I’m going to get it!!! I stopped reading anxiety books because one that I read, said if you have this symptom, you may not be crazy. Lol. I was 18! I took it as being crazy and never read a book again. ( on anxiety lol)

Anything by Claire Weekes. I read Hope & Help for your Shattered Nerves. It was a life changer & I probably wouldn't be as well as I am now without it. Find it. Its an old book but every therapist I've ever been to has it on their shelf. She is easy to read, understand, and makes perfect sense. She has a sensible approach to beating bad nerves. Strongly, strongly recommend it. Might be hard to find but keep looking. Its worth the effort.

Okay I found it on Amazon. She has a whole bunch of books there. Including her biography. When she first started in the field she was not well received but as time went on her methods proved so successful they are now a gold standard.

I appreciate it!! I’m going to order it now!!! Thank you ☺️

Hi, another book that has a different take on dealing with anxiety, is From Panic to Power by Lucinda Bassett. I remember getting that book from the library years ago and it was interesting. Also a book I like a lot- you can tell I get into some of these self help books, is titled Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway, also written by a woman, I can't recall the author's name right now. Are you male or female??? Because I'm thinking maybe you'd rather read a book written from a guy's point of view. Still, the two books I mentioned are still good reads. I don't like to read books all the time either, but believe me, knowledge is power, take some time to actually read an interesting book and you'll learn some things you wouldn't learn otherwise!!!

I recommend the book "DARE the new way to end anxiety and panic attacks" by Barry McDonagh. He acknowledges and takes the principles of Claire Weekes and makes them practical and implementable. It 's also a good reference book. There are also phone apps and online videos. It really helped me with a setback a number of months ago.

Richard Simmons (remember him - the exercise guy) says that any diet you can stick to will work. Probably not entirely true but the foundation is sound.
