Why are people so cold?

Hey guys. My best friend has been so for at least 20 years. I got really lonely when i moved though, then i probably bombarded her with calls, and then get hurt when she doesnt return them.

And then now she probably cut our relationship off because im being clingy. Ive been crying for at least 2 weeks. Why do people do that? Im in denial and i really cant believe someone would do that! At least not your best friend and during your lowest moment nonetheless.

Hi Eedee. It’s true....giving your friend some room to breathe is a good idea. But what you don’t know is true is that she’s cut you off. You use the word “probably”. Maybe she has but maybe she hasn’t. Using CBT lingo you are jumping to conclusions. It will become clear one way or the other, but until it does why “borrow trouble” and possibly draw all kinds of conclusions based on a false premise?

Yes youre right. Maybe ill just give her time to breathe. Yes, its a probably because she just suddenly became cold with no prior explaination.
