Took birth control out and now I feel like I can’t function

Good morning everyone. Recently I got my birth control taken out, and it’s been affecting work for me. Im new and have been there for a month, but this is my fourth day telling them I can’t come in. I’ve started to feel like this just on Friday. Usually I always feel anxious but since that day I have felt like I can’t go to work. Even though I enjoy it a lot. It’s been really hard to get up. And I keep messaging my boss that I’m having car trouble and that’s why I can’t go. I’ve been lying to my family telling them that I was told not to come in today because they don’t need me and I’m getting scared I’m going to lose this job because I have these stupid feelings and emotions. Does anyone else feel the same?

All you can do is try to force yourself in on those days when you don't want to go. That's what everybody says about anxiety, once you force yourself to face it it tends to become less of a problem. You may go in on an anxious day and emerge less anxious. But I understand it is very difficult and I have been there so I know where you are coming from.

It may be difficult, but I would do exactly what NickMo suggests, ie. force yourself to go. If you don't it is likely you will lose your job.

I know how difficult it is for you to want to return to work but the longer your off the less likely your want to return. Before we were on lockdown I was doing a volunteering job, and I know soon it will Re open again and I'm dreading going back, it's my anxiety ruling my heart. But you must return if you want to keep your lovely job, that you enjoy. It will make it much harder if you lost it and had to find another. Good luck. 😘🌈
