ginger38 if you truly look into your dreams or nightmares you will see a common

denominator in what you fear in your life. It may be something simple or something

most important to you.

Like a dream in not being able to find your way home can mean that you feel lost

in life. You have no goals, no direction. Do you see what I'm saying. It's not unusual

to experience these dreams and/or nightmares. It's your subconscious mind replaying

your conscious thoughts of the day and the past.

As for myself, I don't fear what I dream. I look to it as an answer to any dilemmas I have

in life. Sometimes the answer is loud and clear and can help me know what to do.

I have found that meditating and doing my breathing exercises before bed can and does

put me in a more calming mind set, which allows for me to go into REM sleep, the restorative

sleep of someone at peace.

Sometimes, our medications or what we eat or drink before bed or even and most likely

the events of the day can stir up these emotions setting off our dreams.

We each need to find a way in lowering our anxiety level. There are some great videos

on YouTube made just for a good night's sleep. But remember as long as something

is bothering you, it needs to come out either in a dream or in therapy. No getting around it. :) xx

Yes!! I use to have them a lot !! It’s gotten better but have had a couple recently. One was so horrible, about being abandoned by family after a very unexpected thing from a family member, and it shook me to my core !! I woke up a mess , took me hours to calm down, my 18 yr old daughter even stayed with me after I woke up because she said she thought I was having a seizure or something, she said I was making a lot of noise. Another time recently I was apparently yelling help help help in my sleep, so loud I woke her up. It helps me to put on bible stories or psalms with soothing music as I go off to sleep, I found them on you tube . If that’s not something you’d like then I’m sure there’s other meditation type ones with music.too. . Just google it. Some go for 8 hrs !! But I’m always off to sleep within 1/2 hr or so . Dreams can be very distressing I know,, and the feeling can stay with you for some time , I understand 😊💕
