Oh, yeah. Like a dam opened up and pours into the dry riverbeds. Just the heart doing it’s job. ❤️🏄‍♀️

I got the alert of your like. Yes, hopefully it will be cured soon. In the mean time, I’ve gotten real good at typing like without looking at the keyboard.😁

Well done. I worked as a copy typist back in the 70's and can still do it though not as fast these days. :)

My last job was in a contact centre and I was typing notes in whilst looking and talking to someone. She was awestruck and was amazed I could do that. Ha ha.

I always admired a person who could burn up a typewriter. I never made it past 30wpm.❤️🏄‍♀️

Ah that's if you look. I was taught not to look by putting blanks on the keys :D

Interesting way to teach. I think the US would benefit to teach that method. Of course, I have no idea how typing is taught now in schools or if it’s a part of learning how to operate computers. ❤️🏄‍♀️

"Dam opened up"...😊 You have explained that well. I am panicking though, as I was diagnosed with venous insufficiency after seeing a vascular surgeon 18 months or so ago. Follow up appointment was cancelled due to Covid. I did manage to see a.nurse a year after .the initial appointment but was just asked if my feet were swelling. When I said they weren't I was told that they had decided to leave things as they were but to wear compression socks..(which cut in) My legs and feet were not inspected. What is worrying me now is that when I get out of bed in the morning I feel that 'gushing and my feet turn very red and ,scrawny and the veins bulge. No.one seems to care. Just "Elevate your legs. Wear compression sock" Elevation seems to make thing worse. Sorry for long post.It seems logical that blood will rush to the feet in the same way as blood will rush to the head when doing hand stands ( that was many.moons ago) but only.had this since just after my diagnosis and it's getting worse I think. 🙄🤔

I have a theory…..elevation means not level. That would prevent even blood flow. Elevation is necessary for swollen legs/feet to get pooled blood out of effected area. If you are sleeping in a level position and you notice the blood returning to your feet in the morning and it’s uncomfortable, then compression socks are probably a solution as suggested by your clinicians. I know the socks are uncomfortable. Maybe a larger size would be better? In the mornings my feet do the same thing as yours. I ignore it because it doesn’t really effect me in any way except to look weird. But I do try not to sit for any length of time without stretching out my legs. Not elevated, just level. If I sit for too long, my feet turn a reddish blue and my veins bulge because the sitting cuts off the normal blood flow which after a time, there’s swelling. Something that’s found in many age groups. All this information was acquired through experience and knowledge from my vascular/heart doctors. More interaction with your vascular doctors should answer your questions. And dont hesitate to ask them. ❤️🏄‍♀️

Thank you so much for your reply. No wonder you were able to describe the sensation so well. You seem to be tbe only other person that I have found who relates to this. I have an adjustable bed and set it to 'zero gravity" for sleeping. I may try even less elevation. I get cramp and tingling and weird 'weak feelings in my legs..Am paranoid as had reaction to statins a few years ago and one leg used to keep feeling paralysed..I stopped statins and the leg improved and then all this started, I spoke to my physio yesterday. He has been so helpful during lockdown when getting to see a GP face to face was almost impossible. He has suggested an exercise to keep the blood flowing.. I am waiting to hear from cardiologist regarding corotid artery duplex test..Apparently he can find noone to do it in my area. I find that odd but I will chase him up and run this by him. Just hate the thought of opening another can of worms.! Thank you again. It is a comfort to know one us not alone and I take on board all you have to say 🙂x

Thank you. Another buddy to share your experience. I also can’t take statins due to extreme leg pain. My cardiologist prescribed a new med which contains fish oil. Mention it to your doc if you haven’t already? Sometimes it’s necessary to open a new can of worms to answer questions. And a good specialist isn’t always easily accessible. ❤️🏄‍♀️

P.S. the cramping and tingling could be from a lack of potassium/electrolytes. ❤️🏄‍♀️

I just typed a very long reply to you and it disappeared. .Briefly...Sorry to hear you had pain from statins. Have made notes to ask about the alternative med. I take it you are getting on well with that. Have Been prescribed Losartan Potassium for and I feel a bag of nerves. Hope it settles down. I read about all the food to avoid whilst taking them and they are most of the things I like. Spoke to pharmacist and she shook her head and smiled. Doctors just assume I am deranged. Probably right. 😊 Thank you Buddy x

My replies to you have disappeared as well. I should have asked you to pm me since I blatantly went off topic from Ramekinsx post. Sorry, Ramekin. I was rude. Luck to you, Nora. ❤️🏄‍♀️

Never think you are deranged for seeking information. Your comments on losartan, which I also take, made me realize that potassium is a major part of my diet. So far, my labs don’t indicate an over abundance of it. Keeping an eye on your labs can guide you in determining how to adjust your diet. 😊❤️

I can't stop saying "Thank you". I have been scrolling for such a long time.too see if anyone else had similar symptoms. In doing so I have come across many stories that I found humbling, You have no idea how it has helped me.just to know you understand. Have you been on Losartan long? My dose is quite low at the mo. It's a long story. You sound as though you have got your act together somewhat. 😊X

Lol have my act together? Maybe a small piece of the puzzle. I’ve been on losartan for about three years. My dose is low and has stayed the same. Docs don’t want to increase it because of the effect it may have on my kidneys long term. It’s always a balancing act. That’s why it’s important to gather as much info as possible regarding your health. So far so good. Benefits outweigh the risk type of thing. There are other meds that help keep the blood pressure down if need be. I could go on with my story, but like you, it’s a long one. Best wishes to you.❤️🏄‍♀️

I had to chuckle. Our replies bouncing about doing their own thing. At least yours went back to you...Mine just got lost in the ether. 😁 Yes, I guess we both have long stories., as do many people. The part of your story you shared with me has been very helpful and reassuring. You come across as having a sensible attitude (which is important) and a sense of humour; also important. Amazing how complex we humans can be. Dentist tomorrow. I have been crunching nuts and what I thought was a lump.of shell wàs a lump of tooth. Never a dull moment. 🙄 Best wishes to you too 😘
