My daughter came & picked me up to take me to her farm. They grow hay. They use some for themselves (2 Halflingers) which is not alot. The rest is harvested by Amish using nothing but hand tools & horses. It was a beautiful day with just a bit of breeze. The horses were very happy to see me & got excited when they saw I brought carrots -- 2 lbs. Greedy chubby little sh-ts ate 1 lb before I cut them off.
They get some gorgeous sunsets up there in the hills. Today was no exception. Had dinner -- garlic chicken with steamed baby carrots with butter sauce & maple syrup & mashed potatoes. Yum! For dessert we had Hummingbird cake. It was delicious. Its a Caribbean recipe made from bananas, pineapple & something else.
It was very good. I finally got to eat with people. My back was killing me so they brought me home early. (home with 2 slices of cake) Good day all the way around.
This is Jake. Isn't he handsome. And such a love. There is another one who looks very much like this one. Beautiful gentle draft horses that ride well.
Got up went back to bed. Up again finally ready to start Wednesday.
