Went on a second nature hike today was fab

I had to be careful of my knees but nature and hiking are so important to my mental health im in love and I have a coat nice enough to keep me warm...

I love to get out and hike, too, but my knees are also giving me a little problem these days!! Have to make sure that it’s not too long and in this cold weather I think my knees get achier. Summer is not as bad.

Oh cool. I never have thought of the weather affecting the knees.

Unfortunately as we age arthritis kicks in from years of pounding on our knees 😢. Weather can be a big factor with the pain. I've heard some people say their knee pain is like a barometer.... they can tell when it's going to rain.

I love to hike in nature. I walk daily., Mostly around my neighborhood . Very cold here for 2 daysso I

didn't walk yesterday and I really feel anxiety more.

You've inspired me to bundle up and maybe get on out there.

Yeah I got the warmest coat I could find and even though there is snow and Ice on the ground I’m not at all cold,... didn’t even feel the cold in my nose now that I think of it. Well I wish I could invite you here, there are really nice wooded areas around. Yes! Get out there, you’ll feel better.

I love getting out and walking. Got a foot of snow last week so I haven't been doing as much as I'd like

Yeah it’s great isn’t it? It beats down the anxiety and lifts my mood up.

I went into the forest today for some therapy too. Didn't walk but i decided to take a friends suggestion and try to scream some anger out. Lol, i have no voice left. I thought it would be weird but i think it helped move some stuck emotions......my poor neighbors though. The woods is a great sacred place. Great for the soul.

I'm glad it worked. I did it at home once and scared the hibbie jibbies out of my daughter lol xx

lol. Was an interesting experience. Felt pimal, i recorded the sounds. Doesn't even sound human. Gave it all my wrath. Vocals are shredded now lol. Was very liberating

Arthur Janov was a psychotherapist who believed in primal therapy. He’s a pretty good subject to google about.

Will you do it again? Make time out to go scream? Just curious. I really think it’s therapeutic

I don't know, im a bit scared, it felt too good.......even now i want to go back out there and grab a tree branch and hack and slash at dead tree branches and tear the fabric of the sky open with vicious screams of guttural pain. I may have released a monster

I do it all the time in my car. I try out all sorts of screams and growls lol. I’m so glad it was liberating!

I just jam to the latest angry song or music video I’m watching, sometimes I sing along. Sometimes I’ll just dance around by myself when no one else is watching. I don’t want to do any loud yelling or screaming, I’m crazy enough already.

Glad you understand. Still waiting for the men in white coats and nets to come and get me......if they ask....i ran back into the forest k?

Hi Xoxo!!!!!!! Yes we are blessed to get to go out. There was a time when I was to scared to venture out of the house. Now I go all over the place by myself. Yes nature- it’s so healing. I want to do it every day

You are beautiful and you look so snuggled up on your coat. I've been using my treadmill to get my knee ready to get out there again. Looking out the window in my quiet neighborhood is not cutting it.

Your knees are almost ready, eh? Do you have parks or wooded areas right near your home to walk to or do you drive to spots?

I have both. I can drive or walk. I like to change it up. Yes, I'm working my way back up to my 5 miles on the treadmill before I go out. The treadmill is so much easier.

5 miles!!! Go you!!! How long does that take? I’ve been switching it up a lot too ... hiking, indoor bike, yoga... today my exercise will be major cleaning I think

I can do a 15 minute mile. Unless my friend comes with me. We laugh so hard he slows me down to 18 minute miles lol It's great to switch it up. Get all the muscles in there.

Cleaning is a good one. Put in your air buds and dance while you clean

I'm not too bad, thankyou Starr. Having difficulty in getting used to, not being able to Walk much now. As I used to so enjoy a Nature walk. But keep telling myself at least I'm able to take care of myself and that's a bonus.
