Ok, this is what happened

Yesterday I was supposed to go back to work but office was closed due to snow. Snow!?! In April!?! Sigh. Welcome to NY. We've had snow in August so I shouldn't be surprised. So 10 mins ago I get a call that the office will be opened on May 4. She put me on the transportation list. So I guess here we go. That gives me a bit of time to do all those things I had a whole year to do but couldn't put down the remote. Life getting back to normal sort of. Maybe now I can give up my therapeutic shopping on line. Just kidding! I need to keep that FedEx guy working.

I am not giving up my curbside pickup at WalMart or Hannaford's. Nope not ever. That's here to stay. Lots of people love this service.

Anyone from Canada? What's going on up there? They have extended the lockdown for another month. You can only get absolute essentials. My friend tried to get a birthday card & some wrap paper. Nope. Not essential. I guess we have found a use for all those paper bags we've been collecting since they banned plastic bags.

Let me know what you will miss about the plague. What are you so ready to give up.

What passed for normal prepandemic SUCKED!

The Nation's elected political criminals, need to get it together, take their heads out of the sand or wherever and UNIFY this country. The citizens also need to do the same, plus realize that the political parties are playing all of us for fools and actively keeping the gap and turmoil going.

My bro worked in DC. At his funeral I never saw so much ass kissing in one room before. You quite literally can't tell who is your friend, who isn't, who doesn't care. I come from money. I've seen what it does to people. Not pretty. I live in a trailer park now. These people are real. Good, bad or ugly. They are real. If they don't like you, while they're not openly hostile, there will be no doubt in your mind that they don't like you. Give me blue collars & poverty any day of the week.

I agree. While I didn't come from money. My parents were heavily involved in the political scene in Arizona. My dad was a cop.I was exposed to graft and corruption from early on. You might say I was radicalized from that exposure alone.

I got more " active " afterwards.

Been a Treehugging anti Establishment/ big oil et. al. radical since then. Even got arrested a couple of times being very much of an activist.

I've mellowed in my approach as I've gotten older. But I'm none the less outspoken. Maybe more so.

PS Nobody cries poverty like a rich person. Poor people don't want to talk about their money troubles. Rich people like to whine how broke they are. Don't worry I don't want to borrow any of your money.

I don't have any money for you to take.😉.. I like your take on the monied " elite" . Reminds me of Veterans. The one's who saw action are silent The Ones who didn't brag about their service.
