Hi, this is my first post. Currently at hospital with my sister who is having knee replacement surgery. She'll be coming back to my apartment afterwards. Kinda nervous about that. We get along great but my apartment is small and I have a new puppy so it may be a bit of a mad house. But I'd do anything for her so we'll be fine (I hope). Anyway, my anxiety is a bit high today.

Hi and welcome to this amazing site.People here are supportive and loving. I hope your sister's surgery goes well. It will most definitely be hard but with your love and support, she will be way better I can see it already.
What are you taking for your enxiety?
Hi, yes the surgery went very well, she'll be released tomorrow. I take ativan for my anxiety. Thanks for the kind words.
I'm happy you are taking something for it. We are here as well for support.
Hi, Thank you for what you are doing. I admire you. I am 78 had surgery in Jan, no family here to help me, close friends died or moved away. A lovely lady I know, volunteered to help me, she took two days off work. I am sure you will cope, please try not to wind yourself up, go with the flow as much as possible. Set ground rules with your sister, you are not her personal servant, you need space and time with your puppy, I hope she likes dogs. Do what you can to help her, I know it takes a while to recover from this type of surgery. Plan fun things, do jigsaws, play games, read good books, find interesting things to watch on TV. She will probably want to sleep in her recovery. You could take your dog for a walk in that time, you need fresh air and sunshine, and of course dog training to do. And Don't Worry.....It will all work out, trust me it does. Be kind and loving to yourself, I send you strength, peace, love n Big hugs......Sprinkle 1......
Welcome! You can love your sister and have some anxiety about her staying with you...both of those feelings....at the same time....perfectly understandable!
