HiI'm David. I'm 64 yrs young. I started semi-retirement this year and I absolutely love it. That's after 3 careers.

1st Chef 18 yrs.

2nd Lawn business of own-10 yrs.

3rd. School bus Safety man/Trainer/Driver 25yrs

( some overlapping of jobs)

I've worked since I was 14 yrs. Old not to mention at 12 & 13 I threw my own paper route. I love my mother and I love her for raising me with worthy values.

Too Funny huh?I refuse depression about my bills. 2.5 yrs ago I was catfished and fell for an online romance scam. I now have 150,000$ in debt, a great attorney and will file chapter 7 bankruptcy in about 2 to 4 weeks. But those are only circumstances. What's really important is my level of Hope, Peace and 💘 Love!

I totally understand what U R saying. I’m 62 and don’t want to take early social security. COVID has put me in an uneasy financial position among other things owed back rent that eventually will need to be repaid. Since I was on state disability in 2020, just got something in mail saying I’m available for SSI. I need to explore all of my options. Be well

Indeed.I worked at same job 25 years.- school bussing-last 10 yrs of it i was Safety director. My plan was to take retirement when I was able to get Medicare at 65 or 66.

Then last December I made some bad choices and caused a very bad school bus crash. For 1st time ever I was of course fired. Turned 64 in January and went ahead and filed for soc sec retirement. I was able to find fair insurance on open market until next January when I get Medicare. Now instead of the 10hr. Safety Mgr. 5 day a week job- with retirement and Uber I get same income and only work 4 or 5 hrs a day. I love it, but with Covid I still as many do suffer isolation. I really do enjoy my customers and Ubering in the town I grew up in. When Uber finally gets around to looking at my driving record I will probably lose that job too. Then I'll just pick up a little part time gig. Its funny how tragedy 😢 can turn into better trajectory in one's life.😊
