Texas slowly dying of cold no water no gas

I am getting so depressed- half of Texas has no power (I had no power 2 days and no water because the pipe burst from cold). I’m fine but so sad: we have no gas now for cars or generators/ no water at the stores/ no bread. No help from Gov. Abbott who chooses to spend his time giving interviews blaming power execs. My friend called last night- do u have gas- I can’t find a gas station with it and we have no heat (3 kids) for our generator thankfully I had some for lawnmower. No schools open w/ generators for poor. Pres. issues state of emergency- there’s no nat’l guard helping Texas.

I'm so sorry about all that is happening in Texas. But I'm also glad that you are safe. Please take care of yourself!

Thank you. It just breaks my heart- people dying of cold w/ no govt. help/too embarrassed to ask a neighbor. We’re going to each other’s houses to see if our neighbors need food etc.

I’m so sorry about that. My friend from El Paso is currently under stressed also. Her house’s pipe is busted, and kitchen is flooded with water from up stairs. 😥 2020 was bad and 2021 is not good either. Hang in there 🙏

I heard that someone was on a Vacay when this happened 😤 I feel so bad and angry that people in Texas are in this situation

Thank you- it’s very hope inspiring that while the govt was on vacay, neighbors/ strangers stepped in to do what they can. : ) thanks for all comments/ support. Funny how this forum always makes me feel better! Thanks all!

Your welcome 🥰🫂

That’s how it’s supposed to be- neighbors helping each other out 💕 so that the government doesn’t have to get involved. It’s great that people are trying to be good neighbors and look out for each other. All the best.

My 75 year old is in the middle of that disaster. The governor is the one to declare a state of national emergency and request the national guard. It should have been Tuesday. They saw it coming. Reminds me of Katrina and the chaos there. I feel helpless. More than the best to you and your family.❤️🏄‍♀️

Thank you. Exactly, I know the national guard was just waiting to help. Today I read the guard and USAF delivered water to Galveston- too bad it came 5 days later- BUT I know they were ready to spring into action and so happy it’s finally coming/ they got their marching orders.

Abbott is a coward without moral values. Lt. Gov. "Patrick" (not his real name) is a Super 'hipoChristian'! He even to a $179K "loan". I asked him if it is "forgivable" & he refused to answer.🤔

Glad you're safe, but sorry it's been a tough road for everyone. I have been praying daily for all of Texas. I made a donation that's supposed to go towards helping. I'm hoping it truly gets used for that. Take care. God bless.

Thank you so much! I’m sure the donation will help as a lot of charities helping out. Thank you for your prayers. I support the Red Cross because they are always on the front line. I’m glad you mentioned that. I can’t do much but I can donate a little and it’ll help me feel useful. Thanks again- power in prayer. Hugs.

Red Cross— great idea.

I know I'm late for commenting but yes I followed the crisis in Texas. I've heard kids had to be put in cars to warm up because of power outages. I've heard electric bills skyrocketed to 10 times the kwh rate. I've heard some of the electric were $10,000 because if the turbines stopping. I agree the governor should have been out there supporting the people rather than being on tv. If he was going to be on tv it should be been to support the people saying it's going to be alright and your electric bills will be taken care of and etc and etc. Not playing the blame game I sincerely hope everything is back to normal for you folks there. ❤
