Was stranded in 95° heat.

Very stressful day. Had several panic attacks after waiting several hours to get a battery jump twice today and was really scared. Im a senior and have no one to call within 100 miles and roadside service is scarce. I learned to always carry water so I was lucky. When I finally could get home I sat in the sofa and fell asleep out cold with cold stuff still on the counter.

I HATE the heat. I’ve lived in all climates. The SE US is cheap for a reason. Now the fear of losing everything (and air conditioning) due to power outages from tropical storms and hurricanes. This is not the place for someone with panic attacks and anxiety.

I don’t know how the homeless cope. Very fortunate to have someplace to come home to.

I am glad you made it home safe and sound. Whew...that had to be

both emotionally and physically draining. This is your time to try and

relax, you deserve it. :) xx

I forgot to mention that this all happened in between me not having access to my entrance because of outside condo repair. We weren’t told.

Panicsville, I hear you. The city blacktopped my street

last week including in front of my driveway. The feeling

of being trapped inside crossed my mind.

I could imagine you had the same feeling of not being able

to reach your condo. You've got to love Anxiety and the

games it plays with our minds. :) xx

Yep, anxiety makes it seems like its impossible to get through. I always wonder what it’s like for people surrounded by wars. We’re lucky.

When I start playing the pity song in my mind, I reach to YouTube and look

at some videos on true tragedies where there is no place to go. Yes, we are

lucky in many ways. :) xx

You should search online for cooling centers in your local area. Most places offer a cooling center where people without a/c can go and cool off.

Thanks. No cooling centers anywhere here. I’m in semi rural. I know they have them in Canada but only the big cities in the states.

So funny about leaving everything on the counter. Could just see myself as I have done that several times.

Am in the rural southeast too, but sense I have gotten in much better shape exercising the heat is barrable. Helped anxiety too.

The good thing is that you made it through the day and learned something to help in the future.

Take care
