Scared to death

Hi, I’m new here. I’m a 73 year old grandma with MDD and severe anxiety. I had both of these issues pretty well under control until Covid. I’m at high risk so have been isolated from family and friends for almost a year now. I’m at my wits end. The only thing that seems to work for my depression is Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation but I’m terrified to go. Being in close contact with another human I don’t know scares me to death. Thanks for letting me vent.

I've been in the same situation myself for almost a year and it's really difficult. Anyone 70 and over can get the vaccine where i live so hang on it's not long before we get vaccinated and things will get better.

You’re lucky, here in my California we with prexisting conditions over 65 have been put in 2nd to last group just before general public. My doctor believes I won’t get it till summer. Angers me so. My husband and I are so dismayed. Even thought of going to Florida because they are vaccinating older people in the second round. Just kind of makes me feel like Ca. has deemed us dispensable..

I completely understand I’m from California too and we are in the hot zone. Our hospital is converted all 6 floors into COVID-19 Unit and we are so short with healthcare workers also but overloaded with COVID-19 patients. I really don’t have any advice to this matter but I feel compassion to your family concern. I hope you take good care of yourself, wear masks and strictly isolated from public. I hope your treatment will be a success. Best wishes xxx
