Can you get anti depressants confidentially? Without it going on your record and without others knowing, if you’re over 18?

Anti depressants
doubt it maybe privately but thinks that`s doubtful why wouldn`t you not want anyone knowing.
At 18 you are legally an adult and all your medical records are confidential. However it will have to go on your records.
It would be on your medical record but that is confidential so no one would know unless you chose to share it. Doctors aren’t allowed to share your medical records without your consent, even to family .
In the US HIPAA privacy laws means you medical information is confidential and only shared with those you authorize. Typically medical records systems, other doctor's pharmacy etc... have access when you sign the forms. But unless you specifically authorize a family member to be able to discuss things with your doctor (if not a minor) or an insurance company e.g. when applying for life insurance...then any disclosure would be a medical and legal breach.
If you're over 18 it's your business unless there's cause for concern. But why wouldn't you want to reach out to family and friends for help. It's a hard hog going it alone but yes only you'd know you'd have them
Is it possible to obtain anti depressants without having to go to therapists and talk groups etc
I'm not positive if but I'm pretty sure you can. I think you'd still have to see a doctor at least once to get the prescription. Also even if you're 18, if you're on your parent's insurance or if they pay for anything like that, they might be able to see if your ordering prescriptions. So in that case you'd have to pay out of pocket which will get expensive.
You might want to see a therapist first though because they might be able to help you decide what you should/shouldn't be taking.
Does anyone have any experience of taking anti depressants? Personally, I think I know myself better than anyone and I know I need them, I don’t need the strongest or anything like that, but just the weakest ones to see if it makes a difference, but I don’t understand how they will make me feel better
You need a diagnosis to be given the proper meds. it might be that you need a mood stabilizer as opposed to an antidepressant as there are several types and classes of medications for various types of depression, anxiety etc. But you need to know what type or the scope of your mental illness to be given a med with therapeutic benefit.
You dont really just want to try meds, alot of meds deem trial and error and possible dose changes, even switching from one to another needs supervision. Weaning off meds can be hard as well, so you need a doctor script and supervising.
I'm sorry that you aren't able to tell your parents what you are going through, moreover you must be doing a good job managing appearances for them not to take notice of changes in you. Best advice tell your parents and let them hell you see a doctor. Wishing you the best.
Yh I have been feeling the same way for years, and told no one, like I know I would never do anything stupid, as I would never do that to my parents, it’s just im constantly thinking about bad things, and a lot of bad things seem to happen to me compared to an average person. And now that another thing has happened, like I know I can get through it as I have before, but I know it’s just going to mean I’m gonna be feeling like shit for a long while
I would like to know why all the anti depressants i take make me sick I've tried 3 & all make me sick as a dog any reason why i keep getting bad symptoms i'm only on the low dose to?
