Decreasing mg anti depressants

When you take a higher milagram of a tablet does that increase the weight gain? So for example if I was on 20mg I would gain more weight than if I were on 10mg? And if I went back down to 10mg would some of the weight would come off?

I think it depends on the medicine you are taking. I gained 30 lbs while on celexa. When I switched to Pristiq I lost most of what I had gained. But lowering your dose might be worth a try as long as it still helps with your anxiety/depression etc.

I have put on about 4lbs all together do you think this is concerning?

Like someone else said, it can be completely different for different people. Some may gain a few pounds bit then loose it once their body adjusts. Lots of times a medication may cause a weight gain, but it doesn't matter whether the dose changes as to how much they will gain. It's entirely different for different people.

As far as if a 4 pound weight gain is a concern, your doctor or pharmacist (chemist) are the only ones really qualified to answer conclusively, but i think it's fair to say than 4 pounds in 3 days would certainly be more of a concern than 4 pounds on 60 days. I'm not sure if you mentioned a time frame.

Anyhow, I think it's good you are keeping an eye on it. I hope it all goes okay.
