i am new here. but my friend is out with her besties & having sleepovers & i’m jealous. it’s making me sad too. idk what to do. she posted about her friend & made me sad.

hello! im doing my part but it comes to the point where i need to socialize a bit. i am socially awkward too but i wanna see the friend i mentioned. but she’s out with others. i’ll just invite her next week.

Hi Honeynectar,

I agree with what KailaLili and Wounded_Solider said. Maybe don’t look at social media for a little bit because they may make it worse. I know it is hard to to cure boredom when you’re stuck in the house but I’m sure there are some small things you can do. Write, color, etc. Please don’t say you aren’t talented because everyone has some gift.

Okay. I’m still somewhat new to this community myself. I get what it is like to be lonely. That’s partially why I joined. Sometime seeing people have fun on social media or in front of you hurts.

I have always found it hard to make friends. I’m not good at small talk. Sometimes I overshare or go mute or just do something stupid. I don’t intentionally do any of those things but I hate when it effects people negatively. I’ve always been envious of the people who can make friends super easily.

I mean I guess it depends. In the big lecture halls there isn’t time for that. In the smaller classrooms it happens sometimes but it doesn’t feel as awkward. At least that’s my experience.
