I just want to say that I’ve only been here half a day but I ❤️ you all already. It is so lonely when nobody understands what you’re going through. I’ve been ghosted by people/family who I thought cared about me. So thank you for being here

I think I’ve found a home
Hi there and welcome! I'm so glad you feel at home here!I'm headed out for the day, but wanted to welcome you before I go.
Happy new year!!!
Have a great day and happy new year Minnie mouse!
Missed this one until now. Happy new year to you as well!
Welcome to this amazing site swordfishll x
The door is always open, the light is always on. xx
Swordfishll,
I am somewhat new as well and I feel similar to you. My parents do understand and try their best. But it is still hard to communicate what I’m feeling and going through to them and others. I’m sure I’ve been ghosted but I think part of that is my fault. I overshare sometimes and I think that has an impact on the other person’s mental health. In that sense, I believe some of the people cared but were just going through their own issues. Sometimes it hard because you feel that you can’t relate to anyone or that there is no one who understands what you’re going through and why. I’m glad this community is helping you.
You’re right. I tend to take things too personally but thankfully therapy has helped with that. I overshare too! I wonder why?! I just talk too much I guess thanks for your thoughtful response.
Welcome Swordfish! It’s a two-way street here. You will benefit from being part of our ghost-free family and we’ll benefit by having you with us. It’s a warm arrangement 😊
Hi again. What is meant by ghost-free please?
Hi there. "Ghosting" is a term referring to people who seem to care at first simply "disappearing": never emailing, texting, or calling again. Swordfish refers to this in their post and I was just whimsically using the term in responding to her. In our group people rarely "ghost",
Omg, how did I miss that!! Somehow I did, though. Sorry, swordfishll! Yes, I understand now.
No need for sorry Minnie 😊
