can anyone tell me if they have experienced hot water rash? I’ve got it around my inner thighs and it’s not good. It’s red-purple broken blotches and I’m worried i may have permanently damaged myself using hot water bottle every night!
I’ve just noticed it and not sure how long it’s been there? Is it permanent or does it take a few months to heal?

Yes I get it but it's normally gone by a couple of days. Hope it's gone soon
Hi, it sounds like a heat rash. Try keeping the area cool with a cold wet flannel. Keep doing that for a few days, wear loose clothing. Have you washed you hot water bottle cover? It might be good to wash it before using it again. If none of those work, phone your GP. X
Just be careful. I haven't got a rash but worse a thing called "toasted skin syndrome" really badly on my back from constantly using microwaveable heatpads on my fracture spine. My whole back is like this brown mottled effect that people used to get years ago on their legs for standing too close to a fire. I am trying to refrain as apparently to continue it can eventually cause squamous cell carcinomas.
I've been trying to cut down ie not let it get so hot. I hurt my neck trying to do a selfie and nearly had a fit when I saw it. My cleaning girl said it looked a bit better but I don't know if she was just saying that.
Is that what yours looks like. Someone on our osteoporosis group did the same thing and the surgeon was going to perform kyphoplasty but wouldnt do it. She had to use sudacreme and it did die down. I bought a tube of it but difficult putting it on my back. GP said if it gets sore to get back to him.
Yes the patterns and shapes are similar but mine is more pinks and purples. The cream is an anticiptip if it’s really intense / boarder in-line burnt, I think? Mine is not sure and have now stopped using water bottle. My electric blanket I switch off as I get into my bed and have thick sheet so it’s not hot in my skin.
