Since my presentation took pllace on 9th Dec. I have fallen prey to d bed again. And all I have done for the last 4 days us watch movies day and night. I watched The Mirror has two faces, the crown season 4, Bohemian Rhapsody, Ludo, Mismatched, Eyes Wide Shut, Her, Jerry Maguire, The Judge, Mulan, Million Dollar Arm, Remember the Titans, black panther, Eddie the Eagle, Few episodes of Two and a Half men, Grey's Anatomy, This is us, Bandish Bandits, Blue Bloods.
I have my books lying around the room, newspaper for last 4 days in bed with me, which I just look at. I don't know how to break this cycle. I really want to read my books and the paper , cuz i used to love doing it. But somehow I'm not able to gain the strength to do it. And I'm just finding it better to be lost in this world on cinema and fiction where I can be away from it all.
I want to be able to come back to reality and love my work the way I used to. I really want to know if you guys face this too and how do you break thus vicuous cycle ?

When we feel low and depressed it can be easy to get stuck in distracting ourselves from the present moment. I'm an expert at that Ava20! Sometimes we just have to fight the instinct to stay in bed and do nothing but maybe try a bath if you have on or go outside for an hour even if you don't feel like it xx
Shameless also I have seen the us version completely till season 10. I love that as well. So basically the mirror has two faces is abt 2 professors who come into a platonic relationship and even get married, but things get complicated when sexual feelings start to develop.
No. Which platform is it on? I completed mad men today. You will really like it if you are a little old school and into advertising world. Its from the time period of 1950- 1970s advertising world in Manhattan.
I’ll look out for it ....orphan black is Netflix....it’s really good the same actress plays about 6 different people.....it’s a thriller bit grim the opening scene but gets you gripped
Lol is it horror, I stopped watching horror when I passed out school. I think that john Cusack movie that Room ____ was the last one I saw, where he goes n stays in haunted hotel room and record his experience. Since then no horror for me. I can watch anything and everything except the horror genre don't know y it just used to make a really negative impact on me. So stopped it altogether. But thriller, grim, crime, documentary comedy, romance, sci fi etc I'm all in.
No it’s a gripping thriller....the actress is really trendy I’m sure you’ll like it ,there is some grim violence in it but not horror genre .....it’s one of them that you can’t stop watching
Yes I stalked it 😜. It even has 3 seasons, I'm happy. I usually watch shows which hav a lot of seasons or have has their finales. It kills me wait for seasons.
Omg the trailer itself built up the excitement. I really like these out of the box shows. Did u see Russian Doll and Black Mirror those r also kind of mysterious and diff.
Hello Ava20, I get this way too. Sometimes I binge watch YouTube videos about how to get motivated to clean, old episodes of hoarders, and too often online shop. I think its comforting for me to see other people in various states of depression and how they have pulled themselves out. I used to love to read now my mind won't let me it requires too much concentration I think. Maybe we fall in with movies because you don't have to think about things. I wish for you some relief.
Yessss, I do that you tube binge watch sometimes too and for me its all about motivational videos or I go and see how movies were made and interviews of casts and crews. Whenever I watch a movie I get really interested in the context of it wrt to the ones based on real lives. I read abt peoples lives and how they were motivated. And when I hav has enough does of this motivation after days I break the cycle n actually do something productive myself. I'm just tired being in this cycle so regularly now. It's taking too much of my time when I'm supposed to do actual reading n research work. Earlier it was rare now its too often
I do get depressed. Always lol. Escaping I like tv. Chocolate. Lol.
Haha yes I too fell in the trap of eating chocolates and binge watching but as a result I have gained like 9 kgs in last 4 months, so I have decided to stop the over eating part 😜. Or soon I'll have to get a whole new wardrobe.
