Does anyone have nausea to the point they dry heave, get a salty taste in your mouth and lots of saliva ( like normally you would when you’re about to sick) but nothing comes out. I know it’s anxiety but it makes me feel like it’s something else. I’ve lost my appetite because of this

Nausea
Is it salty or sour? If it’s more sour that could be reflux.
I’m sorry for the nausea. You should eat only bland foods when you feel this coming.
Definitely more salty, just when I’m dry heaving it happens as if my body is preparing me to vomit
Ok I see. Yikes dry heaving sounds very very uncomfortable and scary. Do you stay hydrated throughout the day? And are you extremely anxious before this happens?
Yes I have a fear of vomiting so I’m always thinking about it which makes me nauseous
Have you tried any antiemetic s?
My anxiety does this to me. My heart starts racing and I sweat a little and I sit on the bathroom floor crying and feeling like I’m about to throw up but I never do. It’s an awful feeling. The aftermath of it just makes me feel like I’m getting sick but then I feel better the next day. It’s just my anxiety but it’s AWFUL.
As soon as I start heaving I always end up feeling better but super embarrassing when you need to do it in public. I hope you’re feeling ok now
Yes I actually experienced this today. It was so painful! I know mine was caused by my boyfriend fighting with me for 2 days straight. I can't believe he has that much power over me!!!!! 😡
Know this may sound crazy but l have found drinking tea of a flavor you like that’s preferably decaf with some honey helps. Might not work when you first drink but thought it was a joke when told to try as nothing would go down, but has helped me. Think the tea calms the tummy and a little bit of sugar gives the body energy you loose from not eating. I have also taken teaspoons of coke a cola syrup sold at pharmacies cheap and has been an old nausea remedy from way back. If you can tolerate a coke try sipping that. Peppermint is another stomach calmer. It’s finding what works for you. Just hope you and anyone with this finds some relief as it’s rough!
I recommend the graphic novel "Guts" by Raina Telgemaier. She had the same issue as an adolescent. Her books are for young people, but they are wonderful for adults too.
