Sometimes I feel like why do I not have full control of my body and brain. It makes me feel miserable, stupid, pathetic, unworthy by continuously feeling anxious and worried, why can't i just do things I want and like, be comfortable in social situations and do all sorts of stuff i want.
Why!
I'm just so tired of this way am living. I want to get over this frustrating thing called anxiety

Hi Jubmay. You end by saying “I want to get over this.......”. Don’t underestimate how important that intention to get well is! That’s the start. As for “control” the hardest thing for me is realizing that it really doesn’t exist. It’s an illusion that we chase. In fact, it’s when we give up the need and insistence of control that we are happiest. I wish I could say that I’ve figured out how to do it myself but I have not. It’s a continual work in progress. It seems that because you FEEL bad that you think you ARE bad. I wrestle with that too. It’s not true. You are a good person who feels bad and you are going to get through this! You heard it here first
I bet there's a lot of people who feel the same way. Sometimes you just have to feel the fear but not let it stop you and do what you want to do anyway. What helps me is doing deep breathing and trying to stay calm when I'm in a anxiety provoking situation- sometimes being in a really crowded grocery store can make me really nervous and be a trigger for me. I've also read and I believe that eating dairy products like milk and cheese can help with anxious feelings. Sometimes I'll sit down and have a glass of milk and cheese and crackers and I do feel calmer. I've noticed that when I get really anxious sometimes I become very irritable and angry and I come off the wrong way, but at least I'm aware of it and I try to do better. I hope something I said helps you.
