Stressing over health insurance

Hi, I quit drinking one year ago. It was and still is a struggle. My stress level is very high because through no fault of my own, Blue Cross screwed up my insurance, and I might be a year without insurance. I really want to go get a 12 pack and a fifth and drink myself into a coma.

If it’s their error I’d escalate the issue.

I have lots of “free” time so I will work my way up the phone list at the company office.

In my experience persistence and good documentation pays off. Keep notes on conversations and if you can, put things in writing and request things in writing. Be polite, but persistent.

Recovering alcoholic here. Eat some ice cream (unless you are diabetic). It’s a very satisfying replacement for alcohol. Keep some on hand for emergency’s. It was my second best item in the bag of tools laid at my feet to use in my early recovery. Actually, AA was the best tool. Good luck. 👍🏼

Thanks for the tip, I have been craving ice cream, so adding this as a tool in a win. Thx again.
