Hi everyone, hope you all are safe. I really dont know how to deal with this coronavirus. California Governor stated to remain in homes, fine me and kids are good however my husband employer is still sending all employees to work. Driving to different cities, hospitals, doctors offices, stores, banks, I'm worried he'll be a carrier and bring it home. What should I do??

All we can do is to take the necessary precautions - hand washing, cleaning & drying surfaces where hands have been, keep the metre/3 ft rule of distance from others when needing to be out. Get some fresh air in safe, spacious places, eat well, drink plenty of water, sleep. And take one day a time. Pray for protection then get on with life. Think positive happy things. Try not to worry or your kids will pick up in the negative emotions. Keep up beat and positive for them. You will get through this. Don't worry about the possibility of your husband catching it. Face things calmly as & when and IF they happen. Don't expect the worse.

May God Bless your husband as he travels about doing his work, and grant -

him, you, and all your family -

protection, grace, mercy and peace.

xXx

Have you discussed your worry with him?

It's only a concern if you have underlying health conditions or are older; most people whom have been passed it have symptoms but then recover.

Perhaps put in place some measures to help, like when he comes in he cleans his hands and face first before greeting everyone - it has been shown that normal soap works well.

I know some of my friends whom have elderly parents, so they pretty much get home before greeting anyone with a hug ;change out of work clothes, have a normal shower and then go about their evening as normal - I do that anyway because I cycle commute so get sweaty!

There is no good answer. But try to find ways to laugh, do things at home with your kids and don't watch the news. I only watch the local weather report. In my situation I have two nurses and a firefighter paramedic in my family. So I do what I can to stay busy and try not to think about the virus. I know it's hard to do but every day it gets a bit easier. I don't know how old your kids are but you can make slime and play dough at home. Also coffee filters decorated with watercolor paints, food coloring or even markers look great and can be twisted and made into flowers. My son is 30 but we still get together every year and color Easter eggs. Right now taking a break from technology is beneficial. Good luck. I'll be thinking of you.

Hi I understand your concern. Yes please don’t stress and limit exposer in public places. If you have a back door have your husband leave his shoes strip down his clothes put in bag outside. Use sanitizer 60% before comes in and then put clothes in wash. Have him shower right away. Taking these necessary precautions can help. Weigh your risk. Do any of you have a low immune system , asthma if answered no then all should be ok if contract. Also maybe he can take vacation time until we know more about coronavirus. If family concern for health mention to employer.Stay safe.
