I can’t think of a good way to start this. 😂😂 This photo made me laugh a little, so I thought I’d share. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to turn off the tears like a faucet? What do you think about this art?
The crying - I know it can seem like it goes on end. Seasons where you can cry at anytime or you do cry everyday. Seasons where there’s a void where emotion used to be along with its repressed self-expression.
After a change, a transition, an ending of a season, sometimes a good cry is a way to take care of the heart. To give yourself room and space to process, vent, and be comforted while feeling. For me, to verbally process through all the questions like: How was the semester? How has my life changed over this year? And to 2021, am I making the right choices? Am I making the choices to be the person I want to be?
...I thought I figured a few things out and felt better after my cry. Still, the aftermath of exhaustion, it has made me feel a continued sorrow. As though I want to cry more.
Does that make sense? It confuses me honestly. I hope you’re having a good day!! I hope you’ve gotten to process through something in a way where courage, care, reason, and relief has helped you.
