Hi Everybody! I’m new here and I’m looking for a community where I can share my feelings and find a supportive environment. My support system isn’t that great. My mental health was doing ok with the medicine but has been on a steady decline due to my work environment. The medicine usually keeps my moods ok, but I quickly become overwhelmed. I hate being judged and being called “fragile” or hearing someone say I have “meltdowns.” They aren’t meltdowns, they are anxiety attacks.

I feel your pain my friend
Welcome to the group!
I understand how you feel when you say "you don't like when people judge you". Believe me, people that don't have depression or and anxiety don't really understand us. They love to harass us by saying things that are very unfeeling, and gossiping is their pleasure. I am currently going through this in my community. I have so much anger built up inside that I have decided to move. I just changed my meds a few weeks ago, and feel somewhat better, but one of these people made a nasty comment to me tonight, and it starts again. I do think that being in this group will help you feel better, since we understand.
I’m thinning of moving too. I’m looking for a new job actually so I can afford to move. I need a change.
Id be more than happy to offer you continuous support
You came to the right place. You know, I was having lots of anxiety at work, and I found that taking 30 minutes at lunch to read science fiction books really cleared my mind and made me feel better. It's really hard to let myself have that when I'm anxious -- it feels like I have to stay on alert lest everything fall apart -- but letting myself read a bit really helped.
