Sooo frustrated!!

So I had my younger sister over for a few days to allow her some space from her douche bag boyfriend. The guy is an absolute narcissist!! She went back home, (they live apart with their own parents, not each other by the way! Thank goodness!) And she went back to his place that same night!! That's not even the most annoying part.... the douche bags mom got tested for Covid19 while my sister was here. No one decided to tell my sister so she wouldn't come here!!! I have 2 kids and live in a house with my boyfriends parents, his siblings and their kids!! Anyways, she gets the results back sunday and decides to WAIT until before shes leaving to go home that night that she tested positive... like what the hell!?!? Then I get a call from my mom and I'm thinking "great, the boyfriends being an a$$ again...." Nope, its "Your sisters boyfriends mom tested positive for covid. I dont know what you guys want to do." It's a no brainers, we need to get tested! So we make an appointment and went this am. Then when I let my mom know she says "ok, let me know when you get your results. If yours are positive we will take your sister to get tested." Ummm... shes not getting tested?? She had DIRECT contact with at least 1 person who definitely has it!!! Oh and get this... her boyfriend says he cant get tested because he doesnt have a family dr. Bahahaha... do a walk in at a testing center!! How is it that myself, my boyfriend and my 2 kids all got tested and theres a better chance of us not having it... I feel like my family isn't taking thos seriously! And I told them we wont be having any visits of any kind until we see proof that both my sister and her boyfriend have tested negative for Covid. Even then, we will be staying away for at least 3 to 4 weeks. But my mom said I'm being ridiculous... sooo frustrated! Anyone care to weigh in here?!?!?! Am I over reacting or am I just being considerate or the people I live with and looking out for my kids (whom by the way arent going to public school, but whom are being homeschooled).

I don't think you are overreacting....some caution is prudent in this situation. I would appreciate people being up front with me if they think they have been exposed. I have several family members in the vulnerable category and, even so, who wants to be laid up for 2-4 weeks trying to recover from this. I can see your frustration and concern....my prayers are with you.
