Hb, saying "I'm sorry" was a more frequent habit that I finally was able to break.

I would lose count on how many times a day I would say that. To the point that I

didn't even think twice, I'd just blurt it out.

That is until someone I knew and trusted told me in a blunt way, "Stop saying you're

sorry"...It woke me up to the fact that I had no reason to keep saying that and I did stop.

I think it's just a habit with all of us. We are all people pleasers and may think that

saying I'm sorry makes them think kinder of us. When in reality it becomes annoying

to them. :) xx

Just read your post - why does your apologizing have to make you appear weak? Can you explain more about what you mean by that? Such as -Do you feel you do it excessively with no need to apologize or what do you mean I’m interested to try understand more if possible? Thanks for sharing & posting! You sound like a nice & polite person & there’s nothing wrong with that!! No shortage of kindness in this earth! But I understand if you feel you’re doing it excessively and it’s not necessary or you’re trying to hard to please others maybe not balanced?? But I say it’s better being kinder than not!!🤣💞🌻🦋

When my mother was alive, she always would say to me Shnookie why R U Always saying U R sorry 😐. She was right and I am a people pleaser. But I definitely want to

Cut down on this habit at the age of 62

Good luck. I’m in your corner

I'm with you here. You're right; it is annoying.

Hi Hb2003,

I also had the same habit of apologizing every time. But I overcome this habit. I made myself strong and whenever I'm going to apologize for anything, I stop and ask myself, “Have I done anything wrong here?” If not, I stop not to apologize.

I hope it helps you.
