Anyone else a lefty? I was reading about this recently and that it has an increased risk of mood disorders. I have been trying my whole life to understand other people's thinking and I think I am finally giving up (in a good way). I will never be in their brain to know exactly what they are thinking. I need to focus on what I am thinking. I need to think about what I need and move forward accordingly. I am almost always afraid because I don't understand other people's ways. I have a great therapist who I will ask about this.
P. S. Can someone feel 2 emotions at the same time?

Hello Brother. I am glad you don't have a mood disorder. I am known to be very very moody. lol. Hope you have a great day!
Hello, my husband is left handed and he is the most gentlest, kindest, loving person one could ever meet he would do anything for anyone whether he knows them or not, he adores wildlife etc., and wouldn't hurt a flippin fly in fact he lets them out of the window alive. Yes, he is very intelligent too as well as having a heart of gold, at the present he is dealing or trying to deal with depression as he was good and kind as I was to a new neighbour and it all got thrown back in our faces, have suffered almost 4 years of A.S.B from him and we helped him out when he first came, this is how people who appear friendly at first treat you later on.
My husband now goes through so many emotions daily he has gone from being a happy person who has made me laugh at some silly little things to someone who worries over everything now, he never use to. So emotionally being a left handed person is not really any different to being a right handed as I am and am now in the same way as my husband of nearly 40 years but together we are getting there very slowly, but taking each day at a time and if this doesn't work then its a case of taking 10 mins at a time and try to build up on this sometimes you get a big knock back then try, try, try again to pick yourself up again sometimes it works others it doesn't, but we try as we are inseparable.
Do not know if this helps at all but this is how another person which is lefthanded is.
I’m not left handed but I’m constantly trying to know what and how people are thinking. I think for me it’s a way my brain wants to try to control the situation I’m in. Of course it doesn’t work though and just stresses me out! I can barely figure out why I feel and think things that I do! Why would I think I could figure someone else out any better?!
Also, I am constantly feeling more than 2 emotions at a time. It’s exhausting!
It’s good that you’re letting go and that you have a good therapist to help you!
I have tried to understand how others work as well, but am finally giving up. As you say, we can't and shouldn't waste our energy trying to figure out how someone else's brain works. We need to focus on how we work instead!
Yours truly,
Fellow lefty😃
I believe disorders can be overcome. I just get mad when everyone else seems to agree on something and I feel completely different. I'm going to use my words now so it should work much better. Thanks for responding.

You're going to use your words now? Oh dear...
Can you be so kind as to tell me what you used before???🙃

I kind of hid from everyone. Had a big wall up.

Yeah, I get that. Well, good for you👍👍👍
(I apologize. I'm in my nighttime funnies while you're being serious.)
Lefty here, sometimes do tend to overthink situations a little too much and this normally ends up with heightened anxiety not sure it’s just because I’m left handed though, I think life has moulded me this way
hmm 🤔 I’m a lefty I’m a HSP I don’t know though if it has to do with what side of the hand . did you know in middle eastern culture being a lefty is a bad thing because it is associated with evil and the devil my parents get mad when I use my left hand when I eat .
Here is a fun and very appros fact for a fellow lefty: the english word sinister is derived from a latin word which means left handed. It seems that the assocation of left handedness with evil is sadly common across many cultures. Though on a more positive note sometimes east asian cultures (China, Japan, Korea) tend to associate being left handed with being smart.
