Hey everyone, I'm new here! I feel like a lot of the issues in my life are self-inflicted. I don't really know why or how so it's kinda frustrating. This is pretty general so I apologize. Any advice on how I can cope with this?

Hi and welcome! You've come to the right place since everyone is very supportive here. Can you elaborate on your issues please?
I'm sorry for not explaining enough! I constantly feel down because of negative thoughts and it gets too overwhelming at times. I've tried to refrain from thinking like this, but it's really difficult for me. It makes me feel unmotivated and I can't really get anything done.
Our minds are really good at making us feel so bad. Do you have things to keep you busy? Also, do you have a therapist to help you with this?
I have tons of things to do, but that's one of my issues. I'm not good with self-discipline so I procrastinate which is what causes my negative thoughts. I don't have a therapist so I kinda just talk about my feelings with friends and family.
Have you thought about making a schedule for yourself?
I have in the past and it only worked temporarily. I think I should try creating a schedule over time so it's not as overwhelming. Also, I can get in the habit of things as I go so it will be easier as well.
I'm the same way as far as having kept a schedule in the past, only to find myself overwhelmed by it. I think I'm going to try again with a modified schedule. Maybe just a morning/afternoon/evening setup.
True; getting into the habit of something definitely makes it easier. Getting going is the hardest part!
