I cycled around this beautiful headland on my last trip to my Welsh cottage and was lucky enough to see the wild goats which live there as well as enjoy the stunning views of the scenery opening out like a tapestry before me on the downward trip. There was the roar of the wind in my ears and the landscape of woods, hills, vast beaches and the wide, wild sea spread out before me as I flew down the hill once all the hard slog of cycling, and pushing the bike up the hill, was over.
These magnificent Kashmiri goats live wild on the headland overlooking this Welsh seaside town, since they escaped from a Stately home nearby in Victorian times I believe.
During the lockdown they made their way into the town with its elegant regency terraces and wandered past Marks and Spencers and Kentucky Fried chicken as if they owned the place. They browsed on hedges and lay peacefully in the middle of the road chewing the cud.
These goats brought a smile to everyone's face and have made one piece of cheery news amongst all the sadness.
You will find some photographs of them doing just this if you Google "goats in North Wales seaside town during lockdown" or something similar. I hope they bring a smile to your face also.
Very best wishes to everyone.
