I'm scared. How can I be happy when other people are sad? How can I enjoy food when others are starving? How can I relax and be lazy when others don't even dream about this luxury? I feel sad because even if I reached my highest potential of happiness in this life, it would still feel like nothing because I'm one happy person in a suffering million. I feel like I'm experiencing the consciousness of the whole world and seeing it from their point of view. I feel like happiness is an illusion. I'm so worried about those who lost their jobs, those who are hungry, those who can't help themselves because they don't stand a chance. I don't want to live anymore, yes, I want to die. But even if I died this will change nothing, the suffering will still be there. So I think the correct phrasing of my wish would be "I wish the world would end, and all of us would die". Whether there's an afterlife or not, our fate will either be: 1-heaven 2-ceasing to exist.
Both will have less suffering than this life.

Hi
I’m sorry for your grief. In a way you are right, but not about it being better to die. Where there is life there is hope... hold on, there is hope.
Maybe it would help to remind yourself that the good outweighs the bad? Good has more value than bad. Happiness has more value than suffering. No, your death would not change the world for the better. But your life can make a difference for the better! Maybe a huge difference! It’s about your choices, what you choose to do with your life. Hang in there. Yes it can get better. There is hope.
I feel this way all the time. We don't have control over all the suffering in the world, but I think we all have the power to help one or two people in small ways. We're connected in ways we don't know, you could tell a joke and you might have no idea that the person who heard it really needed to laugh today. That's a joyful thought to me... I know it's cold comfort. Hang in there, someone out there needs you.
You are suffering. This is what we call an empath by definition. You hurt because of the sadness in the world. But there is just as much good, but nobody has it incredibly easy in life. Problems are still problems whether financial, or emotionally. We rarely see the good, the news is designed to be mostly about the bad. There’s good, and I didn’t always see it until I started looking for it.
