Tachycardia and Anxiety

I’ve been through a lot of medical stuff since May of this year. So far, I’m relatively healthy and thankful for that. However my pesky heart rate has been rather high since July, possibly since June. Doctor after doctor told me it was anxiety. Today my cardiologist told me that my echocardiogram looked good, but I’ll need a stress test and possibly and angiogram just to make sure there’s nothing fishy hiding. My resting heart rate was in the 110 range, but since stopping unnecessary thyroid medication that I had been on for 3 months (turns out my levels were fine the whole time) it’s now resting between the high 70s- mid 80s, but when I move around it jumps up to the 120s. and when ride a bike for 5 minutes or walk up 4 flights of stairs my heart rate jumps to 160-170+. Has anyone else experienced a chronic or long lasting time of tachycardia/higher than normal heart rate? What did you do? For 7 weeks I’ve cut out sugar, caffeine, started yoga, and working on improving my sleep.

Have you looked into Mast Cell Activation Syndrome? It can play havoc with your heart rate but that is just one of the symptoms. I know someone who was misdiagnosed as bipolar because of this disease making her feel like a yo-yo. I only bring it up because of the very high heart rate which I have also seen her experience via our fitness trackers. Just remember, whatever the diagnosis, you're your best advocate.
