I've been struggling since I had that huge panic attack a few days ago. So many scary thoughts and scenarios have played in my mind. I need to shower and get ready to drive to my brothers house for a family dinner. I haven't driven out there since my last panic attack while driving there. Its a thirty minute drive out into the country. I'm so scared something bad will happen to me I just want to cancel the plans and lay in bed all day. Somebody help me not allow anxiety to win today.

Hello there. First of all, you are not alone. I can understand what it feels to go through an anxiety attack. The good thing is that it will go away given time. If it’s possible you can ask one of your family members to pick you up and drop you back home. In my experience, being at a family dinner will most likely help reduce your anxiety and also make you happier. Remember that during panic attack, its thoughts racing through your brain; it’s not actually happening out there.
Would it help if you weren't in the car alone and someone was with you? Or is there a certain area that you feel nervous driving through and maybe you could take a different route to get there? Try to figure out what might be triggering all the anxiety and you could figure out some ways to cope or do something differently.
