I was wondering if anyone had any tips for managing depression? Mine has been coming up significantly more this week. I feel like Im loosing the desire to keep managing my mental health. Its tiring to do at times. I feel like I have a negative outlook on my life and the future. The sadness is really heavy.
Also, if you are having a tough time I’d love to talk with you.
Thanks ❤️

Depression, I hate it, it has dogged me all my life. I take antidepressants every day they help a lot, until I build up a tolerance and have to go onto a different brand. Sounds like your Dr's D & A are not much help, can you find someone who specializes in mental health, and a good therapist who does the same. There are some good books out there, I love Dr. Clare Weeks, "Hope and Help for Your Nerves" is one of hers I love, it has helped me a lot, I have had it 30 years. She has written several book, and helped millions in doing so, Amazon has them used/new, something to look into. I wish you well, send you peace, love n big virtual hugs.......
Hey PurpleP, I saw your post and I was thinking of all the things I do. First off, I have to stay in the moment. If I start to dwell on my health issues, or anything in the future unless I have to..... I tend to stress out. It’s hard to do but I try 😊. Next I alwAys walk my dog while listening to either my favorite music or some Christian speakers with a good message. If your not into spirituality there are some really cool ASMR videos on utube which are relaxing or any other videos that you enjoy or zone out to. I’m constantly cleaning or organizing (aside from work) just to keep busy. I have to stay busy or I think too much lol. I have favorite tv shows I zone out to and really like or I just put some old comedy shows and play mahjong lol. Getting together with family to watch football etc is nice now and then. Clothes or window shopping or thrift store shopping or browsing can be fun. I also do exercise like push ups, trampoline and Barr (like ballet). That’s all I can think of now . If u ever need a shoulder im here. 😀. I’m much better at picking others up than I am for myself lol
