What do you mean by spasm? Can you explain it a little bit?

Feels like throat swallows by itself when dosing off to sleep. Sounds strange i know. Or when you've been crying you know how your throat sort of sobs lol. But havnt been crying. Wakes me up.

Do you think this can be a breath problem? Like difficult to breathe while you sleep or something like that? Have you talked with a doctor?

Can you tell me if you've felt similar things in other parts of your body? Like you move or contract your arms or legs without noticing it or without really wanting to do it... Similar to tics, in fact, do you thing it can be a throat tic?

Read that reflux can cause spasms and no not from breathing because when it started it did it while just sitting watching t.v. Beleive me I've had strange things going on for 4 years no answers from doctors. Just live with it I guess. Thank you.

I don't recommend you to diagnose yourself with physical issues, a lot of symptoms are common in a lot of diseases and you can easily misdiagnose yourself

I asked about tics because there are some neurological problems that involves unwanted movements in any part of your body, for example I have tourette's, I'm not saying that this is your case, I'm just saying that you should keep trying to get a diagnose by a doctor and bring any possible option you think you can have so they can explore it and tell you why you have/haven't had that, as well as running test for things like the reflux you said

Best of luck

My eldest son does and its horrible to see as it can last for days and days...he thinks its inherited as his grandad (father's side) used to get this too. You certainly have my sympathy.
