I have started to try intense exercise at a gym, taking classes (water Zumba, Zumba dancing, kickbox cardio, tread mill and etc.). This is to increase the oxygen intake to your brain and body.
With up beating music with many people in the classes, sweating and feel tired a little bit. It is a good feeling. I could sleep better at night.
To prevent focusing on negative thinking, I get out my house for a few hours daily, just to watch people, park my car at nearby Wal Mart. I like to watch people at the gym too. It is better than stay home all day. I have to try hard to kill my time every day.
I think physical and mental exercise are important. It will take time but my daughter finally overcome the severe depression of 15 years. Her doctor was keep prescribing serious drugs each time. She was very scared. Now, she is completely prescription drug free and living normal life.
Both mental and physical health are equally important for the happy life. I made some discovery but I am still working on it. What working for you, please share with me.
Thank you.

It always helps me to try to do SOMETHING to get out of the house for awhile every day. I have a limited income and I don't have a car or a job now- I am trying to find a part time job. But I can at least go for long walks, and sometimes just walk around some stores or go to a local cheap restaurant for awhile, just to get out!!! And exercise is good, I like Zumba and dancing but I have some arthritis in my left knee, I do what I can, if I can't keep up with everyone I just stay in the back and do my own thing. And I am very grateful for my one good friend that I talk and text on the phone with.
That's wonderful, I, like you have to be out the house for awhile too. I have 3 kids all in distance learning, but as soon as school ends I'm out the door. So happy to hear about your daughter and happy I'm not the only one who has to be out the house too. Best of luck to you!
I understand how tough it would be with children during the Covid. I raised 3 children as a single mother here in US (foreign country) alone. You can make it!
