Hi Sarah. Im in the same boat with you 100%. I too am super lonely. I live in a very small city where everything is still closed. And i no nobody and its hard to meet people when things are still closed. I cant afford to go to other places nor do i have a car to travel. Im worried right now to especially with huricane season being very active this year and a possibiliy of things shutting down again.
It can be very lonely and isolating especially with this pandemic going on. It's never a good idea to compare yourself with others, there are always those who are better and worse off than you. Comparing yourself to people is a sure fire way to get depressed. Recognize your own value as a human being, don't compare. Everyone has strengths and faults.
I don’t feel good enough for the life I want. The life I’ve been trying to get to for so long.
I push people away and yet am upset when nobody invites me out. I feel like a burden to those I want to spend time with or that they don’t really like me.
If I give up on trying I’ll basically be in the same place I am now, so maybe I subconsciously already have? Or am self sabotaging.
I forgot to take my antidepressants the last two days. Does anyone else feel so different so quickly? My meds absolutely improve my mood and outlook.
Even in cities that aren't as shut down we can still feel lonely during these times. There is always that one ray of light that keeps you going. Just being on here and reading posts and responding to posts can help you feel not so lonely. Being able to chat with people that are just as lonely can make you feel not so lonely. As time goes on we realize we are all lonely to some extent since we are social creatures. Not that we want a bunch of people around but even 1 or 2 to chat with can make us feel better.
