Hello everyone, hope you all are staying safe and healthy amongst the pandemic.
Seven months ago I got prescribed 50mg sertraline for crippling depression, I have had it on and off for maybe ten years now, anyway, about a month ago, I felt like I had some sort of nervous breakdown, I really considered commuting suicide, I even made preparations.
My mum made me call our doctors and all they did was up my sertraline dosage to 100mg, I do feel a little better, but it's been about two weeks now, and all I can think about is ending everything again. My mum said she used to take sertraline when she was younger, and she felt extremely suicidal on them too. She is now taking citalopram instead.
Has anyone else had this issue with Sertraline? And if so, did you end up switching anti depressants and feel a bit better?

I was on it while I was having a breakdown which involved suicidal thinking but I’m not sure if it was the med or the depression. I’m not taking it anymore yet I still get the I want out feelings. Are you considering a different medication? If you are sure it’s the med you want to go off I’m sure.
Are you okay right now? Maybe you need to call your doctor with your concerns.
I can't give advice on meds I only use herbs. But I'm here if you need someone to talk too when you feel that way. You can message me anytime day or night. Hope you feel better soon, one love
