I am watching an episode of Pitbulls and Parolees and it's got me beyond upset at what they found in a home full of neglected dogs and puppies! Some people should not own animals... Period. I need to get offline and go watch a comedy. Goodnight all. I hope you all have a good evening. Hugs to all

I feel the punishment for animal abuse (or people abuse) is to do to the offender what they did to the offended. How else will they learn what empathy is?

Being a veterinarian, I cannot watch these shows. Makes my blood boil and it's not good for my blood pressure!

The people that save all those dogs on that show are amazing. That woman is amazing. I love all dogs so much but the pitbulls are special to me. They are US......they get overlooked...ignored...

“Problem” breed

You walk through a kill shelter(many don’t have the courage) and 8/10 of those dogs will be some kind of pittie mutt.

People need to stop buying dogs period. There is no shortage on furry friends last time I checked.

Amen!!! I always have believed that it's not the animal, it's the owners that make them get a bad wrap. We have a lot of pitbulls in our shelter too and I"m seriously thinking of going to volunteer there so I can wash them, walk them, and just talk to them so they know they are loveable and deserve a home!

I'm with you. Fortunately this show does have a lot of beautiful endings and it makes me happy that someone cares about these animals. The epidsode last night was just too much for me and it is always worse when I"m already feeling vulnerable and depressed.

I've yet to meet a bad pitbull. I trust them over Dobermans and Dachshunds any day. Been bitten (or they tried to bite) by more little dogs than large breed dogs when I was in practice.

I believe that! What is also sad is many places with "rules" will not allow pitbulls, even if you own your home! I can't have one because of the size as we have a "lb" size in my park but if I can volunteer, I can give them the love they deserve.
