injection was a mistake

Well it’s been a week since I had the ablation done and I totally regret my decision. I did it because I’m tired of always being in pain I handled the injections up to this point and they seemed to be giving me some relief so I figured I would go ahead and try for the big one (supposed to last 6 months) it hurt so much I felt my nerves being burnt inside my body it was not cool., I could barely walk for a couple of days afterwards. Yes I’m walking better. Like I said it’s been a week I’m still in pain and it’s not the pain they say that I should have it’s on my spine.. I haven’t been able to have sex for several months which is killing my relationship and throwing me into a deep depression because it makes me feel unwanted and unloved. He is just having a wonderful sex life with her and while it’s bringing them closer together it’s pulling us further apart. Tomorrow is my birthday and I really wanted to be better by then so I could have some fun. I know sex isn’t everything but when you’re not getting anything and all you feel like is the babysitter/nanny it’s just starting to wear me down. I am definitely not getting the follow up injection done in like 6 months or so when this one wears off and the arthritis sets back in I guess I will just have to deal with it or figure out something out.. I’m not sleeping like I should be which is another issue but I thought I was doing the right thing. Oh well I totally regret my decision.

This sounds horrible! So hard when you think you are doing the right thing and it turns out like this.

Any idea how long this pain will last? What are they telling you?

I would like to wish you a happy birthday. 🎂🎂. I hope you can find something special to do

❤️🐬

Thanks for the birthday wishes right now I’m just hanging with little man he’s sick with a cold 😞. We are gonna go out to eat at this place called Shady Maple it’s a huge buffet and has a huge store downstairs. Also I have a freebie at crumble that I may cash in too lol.

Everywhere I have read about the ablation it says the pain from that should last 1-2 weeks. But it says the pain should be like a sunburn pain and that’s not what I feel at all. It’s almost like the arthritis pain but intensified. It’s like the arthritis pain is still there and the injections didn’t work at all.. I don’t know I’m just frustrated.

I don't blame you for feeling frustrated. Hopefully this will end and give you the relief you were looking for. Not every experience is the same so try to think positive.

I love crumble cookies:) I like the sounds of the buffet with the added bonus of shopping. That's right up my alley.

I hope both you and your little man feel better soon

Thank you for the birthday wishes. My little man is sick with a cold so right now we are just relaxing. I am hoping this ablation was the right thing to do because right now I truly think I made the wrong decision.

That sounds horrible. Being in pain sucks and it's hard to know what the right thing is to do. I live in pain too and it's hard to know what to do.

Happy Birthday! I hope you can find something fun to do.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. We are going to a huge buffet to eat I get to eat for free since it’s my birthday.. My little man is sick so that kinda sucks for today because he’s kinda clingy. I am sorry that you live in pain I have osteoarthritis in my back, hips and my knees (even though they are replaced) I even think I have it in my neck. That’s why I started getting the injections to see if it would help but he started out with a different injection and figured out they weren’t working so he decided to change to the arthritis injection but I have been told by my orthopedist that certain people’s body don’t like the steroids injection or don’t take to them and she said that’s me. So if that’s the case then the injections are a waste of time.

Not what you're looking for?
