Been dieting for past few months and failed this week

Past few months I’ve been motivated losing weight every week in total 25 pound and this week I’ve just lost motivation and been eating chocolate and greasy snacks late at night just feel like a massive failure ☹️

You are NOT a failure, you are human. Anytime we change our eating habits. (I don't like the word diet).... we have to pick a day of the week or the month to just binge!! No guilt involved at all. More people fail because they feel it's all over and they can never eat anything good again. Best chocolate is dark. It's really healthy for us believe it or not and berries have the less amount of sugar. Are you on a specific diet or your own made up one?

I’d say a made up one but in a calorie deficit so eating around 300-500 less but this week I’ve just been feeling super bad with my depression and anxiety

And both of those things will cause binge eating! Comfort foods they call them. Best advice I can give you? 6 small meals a day, nothing 3 hours prior to bed, and longer if you can handle it. And give up sugar! My biggest weakness!!! And don't deprive yourself of the simple pleasures in life. Life is too short for that. Just don't eat those simple pleasures on a daily basis!! Please do not beat yourself up. Talk to just about anyone on a so called "Diet" and they will tell you they fell of the wagon. It is a bit like a drinker trying to give up alcohol, then they "Fall off the wagon"!!! Our brains are So complicated, I have had an eating plan for 40 years, and I have splurged on occasion. I do my best not to keep cookies, cake, ice cream, candy in the house. When I get the desire to eat it is usually in the eve, I keep some very dark choc. in the house and have a few pieces. I have some very plain cookies which I allow myself 3 with a big glass of ice water, these tricks usually do it for me, if I splurge I forgive myself and carry on, as someone else said in a reply "We are human"...... Get on with your life, plan a splurge and really enjoy it, no guilt allowed. I wish you well, sounds like you are doing good lost 25 lbs. I send you good health, peace, strength, love and virtual hugs........
