You're doing good Frenchy1292. Follow your doctor's orders, take it the same

time everyday. I take my medication with food it can help it metabolize better,

hydrate and most importantly, give it 4-6 weeks to real full efficacy. Until your

body/brain adjust to the dose, there may be some break through symptoms.

Keep in touch with doctor and you should start feeling better soon. :) xx

You need to be patient allow a five week period to get used to your medication.

Remember you need to possibly have some side affects at this time, however that is normal and you need to understand we all follow the same pathways to control our health concerns

You may also be sent to see a therapist to talk out your problems at a later date. You will possibly need to understand the source of your concerns, worry and learn how to control them

Thankyou for your replys I've been off work for the last 6 months as it's been soo bad and have been tryed on 4 different meds.my head has been so up and down I think because all the changes in chemicals from different meds,I'm so hoping this one works this time I won't to get off this rolercoster,

Not long enough. The medication needs more time to work. I've been on it myself. It worked. It just took time. The typical window for remission is anywhere from 4-6 weeks, sometimes longer. Hang in there. Also, you will continue to see improvement over several months. SSRIs take time to work. God bless.

It can take 4 - 6 weeks to really feel the effects. You're also on low dosage, which is good. I would encourage you to look for small positive moments. As your body assimilates this medication, you might not get upset as quickly as before - POSITIVE MOMENT!

I wish you luck. I've been in venlafaxine for many years, but only recently needed to increase what I was taking. I hope your new year's holiday is safe and drama-free.

I've had a great week this week but out of the blue yesterday I just felt so down and spent most of the nite crying and feeling hopeless,is this normal even if the meds are the rite ones? It's just I've been on so many different meds that haven't worked I'm worried this isn't going to work,
