The trick is dont try and what you seek will find you !

I sort of agree with this, but without the rest your life can stink because you need a balance. You cannot just give yourself whatever you want and be hedonistic, how would you pay your bills etc. It would be a very lonely life if you did not have other things and a relationship.

Your never lonely if you like yourself, money, material things, cant make us happy, happiness comes from within xx

in reply togerrerd

I don't need money or material things. But I do need a family, I was most happy when I was with my ex trying to start a family together. In the end I'm glad she didn't get pregnant, end up being a lying cheating hoebag.

I agree. The only things we need are air, food, warmth and water, but we feel we need far much more or we die of loneliness or boredom.

in reply towiserlady

I don't even need that much warmth. I like being cold.

lol. Know what you mean. When we had that sweltering heat it was impossible to sleep or do anything, when it is cooler you can do what you wnat and if it is too cool you can put more clothes on or the heating on.

I really like this, thank you!!! I would definitely be happier if I had more money, but money isn't everything. It's really true that you have to make yourself happy, don't try to find meaning in your life, you create meaning. I'm a work in progress, we all are. Sometimes I like to draw things to decorate my walls with something I created, even if it isn't high quality artwork. Just being creative.

I changed my way of thinking, started with self hypnosis, early 80s then my guru took over Dr Wayne W Dyer, listened to all his programs day in day out for 20 plus years, as well as Depak chopra, Tony Robins etc many more teachers Ram Dass also ! studied religion etc ! also consciousness. then from 2003 Brainwave frequency therapy. plus much more stuff. everyday I look for new ways to improve my brain and thinking, but the one thing that made it work was I never gave up and I did the work every day !!!!!!! The one thing that is the key to it all is. All is thought get that and you have cracked it ! xx

This is so true. Sometimes I look to others too much to make me happy when I know that happiness comes from within. I am trying very hard to be happy with myself. Thanks for posting this.
