If your depression/anxiety was a monster.....

Describe it.

What would it look like?

Vulnerabilities?

Pretend you’re in 1st grade talking about that monster and how you would crush that F@cker with a monster truck.

Love you all keep pushing💪💪

Depression is a monster. So why not make it something to poke at with a stick every once in a while and giggle with your buddies ❤️

Yes, depression is a monster. I have referred to myself as a monster before, though. That is more serious. I need to learn that my depression is separate from me and doesn't define who I am.

Depression is like a parrot sitting on your shoulder that keeps repeating what you say over and over. You swat it away and it always comes back

My depression n anxiety is a monster because its also got mega med issues attached to it.

Do i turn green n become a psycho like Hulk?? Yeah..but i also have Dr.Jeckle n Mr.Hyde in me also.Im ur mothers worst nightmare,she told u about,boys n girls,just in a female version.

Do i wish i could wake up from it all like a bad dream..heck yeah

Meantime..i hold my head high n make the best of the life i have n know im doing best i can.

Depression is a being with a workshop....

In his workshop he makes all these little cages for people to keep them in.

The cages swing from chains attached to the ceiling in his worship.

Everybody that he has caught is trapped in a cage suspended from the ceiling.

We watch him from a distance as he keeps making these ornate cages to trap more people in his workshop....he’s a control freak.

We can see each other from the cages and wave and know that others are trapped with us but we can’t really know that person 100%.

Every once in a while he gets bored and grabs one of the chains and swings one of us around violently out of boredom...watching us curl up in fear as he smiles breaking his boredom for a moment.

He takes turns swinging us and slapping our cages.

Sometimes some of us escape. Sometimes some of us take ourselves out.

Sometimes we just sit and wait....hoping that our cage will have a flaw in it and we too will escape the workshop and run out into the wild again.

Day after day waking up in the cage watching him from across the room meticulously creating another beautiful cage of horror.
