I notice I get really sad and start to cry when I see a photo(s) of myself before having anxiety. Does this happen to any of you?

Hi Mandy444, I haven't really cried over who I was before having anxiety,
simply because I became a better person because of Anxiety. Just as we
grieve the people we have lost in our lives, we can sometimes grieve over
who we once were. The way to go forward is to learn from our experiences. We can't focus on the past since it makes us depressed.
If we focus and worry about the future, it makes us anxious. That is why
we must stay in the present moment, this is all we have. We can grow from
this moment forward.
It's okay to cry, it can be a cathartic release of emotions.
You are certainly not alone. xx
Thank you for replying.
I feel sad when looking at the photo because I was so much happier when I didn’t have anxiety. It’s coming up on a year of having anxiety and I had more lows than highs. It takes time, but I hope it gets a little better.
I do feel a lot of pain when I see old photos of myself. I can’t cry though, I have a hard time crying. But I feel like if I didn’t have that issue I would have cried.
