Weighted Blankets

Has anyone used a weighted blanket to relieve anxiety? If so, where did you get it from? I want to get one, but just want to get the best one for my money.

Hi NewBeginnings, Just as important as getting a good quality weighted blanket,

is making sure you get the right weight for you. I didn't know they came in different

weights until my psychiatrist place one on me during a therapy session. He put on

a tape and told me to relax.

After 10 minutes, he fell asleep in his chair and I was struggling to get out from

under the heavily weighted blanket. lol.

The proper one should help you. I know children who have felt calmer and more

secure by using them as well. Good Luck and hope it relaxes you. :) xx

I have one that I purchased off of Amazon. You go off of your weight. 10%. So if you weigh a hundred and fifty pounds you want a blanket that weighs 15 lb. If you're in another country you're going to have to do the conversion your own self. Sorry.

I used mine all winter long and it truly helped me greatly. I put it away when the temperatures got hotter but have recently pulled it back out and find that I am sleeping much better again. When I sleep better I'm able to handle my day better. The only complaint I have about the blanket is that you do not throw them in the washer. So you ABSOLUTELY want to buy a cover.

Blessings to you all.

Thank you Daesin, I have been wondering if i would help me sleep as well. My sleep is very poor lately. And I know I'm depressed. Maybe ordering one of these is one thing I can do to try and help myself. Did you order yours off Amazon? do you remember the brand?

Love mine!! I got mine from Costco!! They have periodic sales. Make sure you check the weight of it so it’s not too heavy or too light.

Yes, I was lured by the brand name of Smart Queen. This was on Amazon and I ended up making a duvet like cover from my own material. I saw some at CVS but didn't stop to look.

Good luck.

I just bought one yesterday and used it the first time last night. It was the best sleep I had for a while. Only woke twice and was able to get back to sleep both times. It’s so comforting and relaxing being under the blanket.

I got mine from amazon for £55 it’s a make called zzznest and it’s very good quality with glass beads inside it.

Mine weighs 7.2kg which is slightly over 10% of my body weight but it feels right for me.

I got mine from sensorygoods.com. I love it!
