Wow, Vraylar is helping me feel like myself again! No obsessive thinking, great motivation, everything good! Does anyone who has used, had weight gain or were you able to maintain your current weight? Thank you! I don’t want to have to go off this!

I'm glad it's working! I'll remember that.

Sorry but I don't have experience with it but, some do. Are you feeling like your eating more? Or have an increased appetite? That's what happened to me with zyprexa.

Thank you for your reply. I’ve only been on it a couple of weeks. I’m not eating any more than normal. Made me feel good enough to exercise again. Guess time will tell.😃

That's great! I'll have to put it on my potential meds list.

I see the commercial and I thought it said no big issues with weight gain. Fingers crossed 🤞 for ya.

The commercials and my doctor say less chance of weight gain, but patient reviews say differently. Good luck to you too!

Oh yeah

Works great :) Weight gain was a reality for me. I went off it. Everyone is different.

I wish you success with the medication

Hi!

Have you used anything as an add on that doesn’t cause weight gain. Wish you well!😃

I changed to another med in that category. It's not as bad but if I keep drinking those mocha latte I'm in trouble

Hahaha couldn't resist

:)

That’s funny! I only have one as a treat once in a while. What was the other med? Just in case.

I don't have them often either but when I do it's skin milk and loaded with whipped cream :)

I would prefer not to say the name of the Med. Reasons for changing meds require a good look at medical history etc. I hope you understand

I like your way of cutting back for the latte! No problem. Have a great day!

Awesome! If it's making you feel THAT much better, I'd stick with it even if you do gain a bit of weight. I was doing great on mirtazapine years ago, but complained about weight gain, so they added another med... and I'm still working through the spiral that caused, leading to playing the medicine roulette game. I have finally decided to just wean back down to only mirtazapine, because my mental and emotional health is SO much more important than a few pounds. Also, something no one seems to want to address: the reason you gain weight on a lot of antidepressants is you feel better, get your appetite back and, drumroll... eat more. So there are healthy ways to combat it as well, such as limiting high calorie intake (when I have cravings, I go for low butter/low calorie popcorn or fruits and veggies, for example) and exercising more. I am now focused on that instead of worrying about the impact of meds. Just my thoughts and experiences!

Thank you! I am a healthy eater. My belief is that these meds change one’s metabolism. Hopefully regular exercise will help. Have a great day!
